Doug Cochran started sumo in 2003 as an out of shape 300 pounder. He quickly got into fighting shape and found success in the middleweight division. Doug’s sumo skills have progressed each year, getting closer and closer to winning a US Championship title.

Doug lives with his wife and two children in California, where he works as a school teacher. Most of his free time is spent being a family man, taking his kids to their own sports activities. Doug juggles his job and family life with his intense sumo training. Doug hopes his participation with Eric the Trainer’s Sumo Team will motivate a new generation of sumo wrestlers in the United States.
